What is the Purpose of Group Support?
Group support assists in the development of communication and socialization skills. These groups help you to learn how to express your issues and accept feedback from others in a safe and effective way. Group support allows you to develop self-awareness by listening to others with similar issues. It can also be helpful to find others that can relate to similar concerns and offer support in an encouraging way.
What Happens in Groups?
Group support offered here consist of 2 to 6 clients guided by a professional therapist/Co-facilitator and peer mentors where appropriate. Group sessions offer the opportunity to address personal issues, provide support or feedback, and encourage interpersonal interaction.
Please take a look at the groups we will be offering this year and make sure to visit often as we are always updating topics!
